As legal counsel for numerous public entities, BEH has negotiated and completed a broad range of real estate transactions, including the establishment of new parks, public buildings and other public facilities. BEH has advised on all aspects of the land acquisition, including preparing transactional documents (primarily purchase and sale agreements, deeds, easements, amendments, closing date extensions, and escrow instructions), the internal mechanisms for prioritizing acquisitions, monitoring and accounting for bond revenues, and assisting with due diligence, appraisals, and title report exception issues. The firm has handled property transactions through all phases of acquisition by condemnation for governments all across Oregon.
